New Student Technology Orientation

Welcome to the University of Arizona College of Nursing. As a new student, there are several things you will want to do to prepare for your upcoming classes. If you ever experience problems with any school-related technology, please contact us at http://help.nursing.arizona.edu.

Before Your First Day of Classes

  • Review the technology needs for participating in online courses.

  • Make sure you know your NetID and NetID password as you will use it to log into almost everything here at the University.  If you need help with your NetID, go to the NetID help page.

  • Log into your UA Catmail account

  • Log into D2L

  • Familiarize yourself with D2L's layout (tutorials here)

  • Familiarize yourself with the UA College of Nursing website

  • Check the FAQ where we have a large number of tutorials on almost everything you will need while attending the UA College of Nursing.

  • Check out the Video Streaming Library where there are a large number of videos including special guests, dissertation defenses and much more.

  • We also have a thesis/DNP project/dissertation library, photo gallery, student handbooks, faculty and their research interests and so much more.

  • Make sure you have installed all the required software listed on our technical requirements page.

  • Familiarize yourself with your clicker device (if your cohort is using one).

  • You may use OpenNursing WiFi if you wish.  We recommend you use UAWifi (authenticated WiFi) when here on campus.
