Please know that each gift, large and small, is truly appreciated by our students and faculty. For the 2011-2012 Academic Year, the combined financial need for our nursing students exceeds $3,500,000 million dollars.

Your support provides the most precious gift anyone can give - the Gift of Opportunity. The College of Nursing has many students who could not attend college without your financial assistance. As the cost of tuition and fees continue to increase, so does the need for students to receive scholarship assistance to help them achieve their dreams of becoming a nurse.

Ranked nationally among the top 6% of graduate nursing colleges, we are preparing nurses at all levels to care for your friends, families and neighbors. Our graduates will become nurses in hospitals, nurse leaders, research scientists, and nursing faculty to teach our next generation of students.

Current funding priorities:

• Nursing Endowed Scholarships
  The College of Nursing is committed to enrolling students who have earned very high academic achievement and have demonstrated compassion for others who will seek their professional skills. They represent diverse backgrounds but share a common desire to care for others with their nursing degrees. This scholarship endowment will provide opportunities for students in need of partial or full financial assistance to earn their degree.
  
  
• Excellence in Science Nursing Endowment
  Recognizing the importance of scholarship at the College of Nursing, the Excellence in Science Nursing Endowment supports outstanding faculty research. This endowment continues to build capacity for faculty research in order to establish endowed professorships and endowed chairs.
  
  
• The Dean’s Discretionary Fund
  The current economy and Arizona's budget deficit has caused the College of Nursing to suspend a number of initiatives. To remain among the top 6% of graduate colleges of Nursing in the country, the Dean must have the ability to fund innovative programs and projects that further the mission of the College. Help us to continue to earn our national reputation for excellence in education, research and service. Donations to the Dean's Discretionary Fund are unrestricted. They can be used to fund College priorities that are no longer supported with State dollars.
  
  
• Alumni Council
  The Alumni Council sponsors student generated initiatives and presents awards to an outstanding undergraduate and graduate student at each College commencement. Donations to this fund support student activities, Homecoming events, and special Alumni Council projects.
