Job Title: Graduate Assistant/Associate, Teaching

Position Summary:
Graduate students are sought to assist faculty with oversight of BSN students at clinical sites or in classroom settings (see specific posts for details) for the Fall ‘08 semester. Positions report to Practice Division Director, Dr. Ki Moore, and works directly with permanent course faculty.
Requirements:
- For Graduate Assistant: Must be enrolled in master ’s degree program at The University of Arizona OR for Graduate Associate: Must be enrolled in a doctoral degree program at The University of Arizona either with a master’s degree or 30 units of doctoral work.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (MSN required for Graduate Associate rank).
- For Pathophysiology GA, BS in pathophysiology or directly related field (MS required for Graduate Associate rank)
- Recent clinical experience in relevant health care setting.
- Must meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the Graduate College.
- Candidate must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona prior to employment date (08/11/08) and maintain licensure while employed as a GA. Candidate will be required to provide evidence/receipt of an Arizona RN license PRIOR to first day of employment with the College of Nursing.

GRADUATE ASSOCIATE, RESEARCH
We are currently seeking a Graduate Associate, Research for spring semester 2008 and fall semester 2008. The individual will be a graduate student at the University of Arizona, College of Nursing. The responsibilities include: Data entry with coding and entering the demographic data, pedometer data and the physical activity data with conversion to METS; will work closely with Dr. Speck and Dr. Jones in conducting data analysis. This individual is expected to be included as a co-author for at least one manuscript. This person will be hired for spring semester to be trained in data entry and data analysis. In fall 2008, it will then be necessary to complete data entry and data analysis, and to participate in writing a manuscript about study results during fall, 2008.
