The College of Nursing is offering faculty the opportunity for a 1-hour consultation/mentoring sessions to help you as novice, mid-career or senior faculty advance your career through your program of personal scholarship (research, special projects). These sessions will be available for scheduling on the third Thursdays, 3pm – 5pm, Room 349. Contact the ONR Program Coordinators to schedule a session. The core consultants include Joan Shaver, Ki Moore, Terry Badger, and Anne Rosenfeld, as available, and others as relevant. If you wish to invite close collaborators or mentors or request other consultants based on your area of interest, please discuss this with Dr. Rosenfeld and your Division Director in advance.
To get the most benefit from the consultation, we recommend that you outline, in a 15 minute overview, your personal program of scholarship that includes
- Your focal area and theoretical/conceptual foundation
- Any prior support (Include types and sources of funding) (sought, attained)
- Key scholarly output: Publications, Presentations, Consultations, Technology Transfer
Outline of potential directions and steps (plans for seeking support) for developing your program of scholarship
- Views on overall planned career trajectory and integration of teaching, research and practice/service
The remaining 30-45 minutes will focus on providing feedback and discussion of future plans.
