Human Subjects Training
CITI human subjects training is required by all research personnel. The training can be obtained at www.citiprogram.org
Those who have not completed the CITI training are required to complete the CITI Basic Course for Social and Behavioral Investigators or for Biomedical Investigators depending on the focus of the research. Once completed, the training, as of August 1, 2011, is good for 4 years. Those who completed the CITI training more than 4 years ago are required to update their training by completing the CITI Refresher Course. Do not complete the refresher course if you have not completed the basic course.
If you have completed CITI human subjects training at another institution, you can add the University of Arizona as a Learner Institution. Once you have done this, there may be modules specific to the University of Arizona that you are required to complete.
Before using the human subjects forms, checklists and templates, please read the Investigator Manual. This manual contains helpful information regarding requirements and guidelines for submission.
All signed consent forms are to be stored in the Office of Nursing Research.
