The Arizona Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Training Program (AzCAMRTP) is an NIH/NCCAM-funded T-32 training grant at The University of Arizona. We currently are recruiting for short-term clinical predoctoral research fellows (MD, DNP, PharmD, DrPH, OMD, ND, MD(H), TCM practitioner, DC) with an interest in complementary therapies and/or integrative healthcare. This fellowship requires a 40-hour/week commitment beginning June 1, 2013 and will conclude on July 31, 2013. Fellows will receive a stipend ($1836/month) and research-related training expenses (up to $1500.00). While there are no formal classes, there will be weekly meetings and learning experiences that are focused on research in integrative therapies and care.
To apply for this fellowship, please complete a statement of interest that includes (a) focus of summer research work (bench, clinical or translational research), including specific plans, goals and activities; (b) future career goals; (c) interest and/or history of work in integrative care or with CAM therapies; and (d) name of proposed mentor. A letter of support from your proposed research mentor must accompany this statement and should include agreement to supervision during the summer fellowship, a description of the research project that the fellow will be assigned to and a statement of agreement for release time to attend T-32 educational activities.
