Elizabeth Knight, DNP, PhD, FNP-C

Dr. Knight earned her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania and her DNP and PhD from the University of Arizona. Her research is focused on understanding how patients experience cardiovascular symptoms over time, particularly during the transition from acute to chronic care. She has special interest in the use of innovative statistical methods to advance patient-centered symptom research.

A certified family nurse practitioner, Dr. Knight is currently practicing with the Mobile Health Program, operated by the UA Department of Family & Community Medicine and Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. She provides primary care to patients in underserved areas in and around Tucson and serves as a clinical preceptor for health professions students, including nurse practitioner students. She is a member of the Beta Mu chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and the Southern Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner Society.
