FNP Specialty Coordinator Candidate Presentation: Ambur Lindstrom-Mette, DNP, FNP-C, Assistant Clinical Professor Interim FNP Specialty Coordinator, College of Nursing University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ

Dr. Ambur Lindstrom-Mette is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ.  As an FNP, Dr. Lindstrom-Mette has worked in a community health center, and retail health.  She is currently a per diem contract provider serving Customs & Border Protection.  This position supports her passion to provide health care for underserved and migrant populations.  

Dr. Lindstrom-Mette has been in academia since 2008.  She has taught in both undergraduate and graduate programs.  She is well versed in curriculum changes and development, and served on school, college, and university level committees. For nearly 10 years she served as the Site Coordinator for an undergraduate satellite campus.  Her role as site coordinator required her to manage site placement for 100 students, acquire and maintain affiliation agreements, mentor new faculty, and manage student issues and concerns to name a few.   Dr. Lindstrom-Mette has a passion for teaching and developing new nursing students in various roles.  She enjoys the collaboration of students and faculty mentorship.  As interim FNP specialty coordinator this past year, she has led the program faculty in quality improvement efforts and mentored both faculty and students in the FNP specialty.

Dr. Lindstrom-Mette will present on her academic and clinical experiences, her teaching philosophy, and her personal experiences with online teaching.
