U of A College of Nursing tops all state programs

The University of Arizona College of Nursing is the best nursing school in the state, according to RNCareers.org.
The College was ranked the highest of 50-plus prelicensure nursing programs across Arizona because of its “exceptional NCLEX pass rates, variety of degrees offered and alumni employment status,” according to the website, which is independently managed by a team of nurse educators, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. It provides comprehensive information on nursing programs, career pathways, licensing and job opportunities across the United States.
“This ranking reinforces to everyone the quality of research and education we provide every day at the College,” said Brian Ahn, PhD, dean of the College of Nursing. “As we look to increase the number of high-quality, skilled nurses across the state and around the country, our faculty and staff are committed to the future of all nursing students so that they may become the best they can be.”
In its ninth annual awards, RNCareers.org highlighted the College’s nationally renowned Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree as well as the “one of its kind” BSN-Integrative Health Program in Gilbert, Arizona.

The website evaluated more than 1,700 nursing schools to compile its merit-based rankings. Factors include program accreditation, tuition costs, academic excellence, faculty qualifications, student satisfaction, program offerings, career outcomes and school reputation.
