Chair, Advanced Nursing Practice and Science
As the Department Chair, you play a pivotal role in advancing the department's mission and vision. We are seeking an accomplished and creative leader and researcher who can build upon the existing foundations of excellence within the department and drive advancements in both research and educational initiatives.
Key aspects of this role include conducting a robust program of extramurally funded research, mentoring diverse faculty and staff to foster their professional growth, and ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment. The University of Arizona’s College of Nursing is one of the country’s most respected research institutions and a leader in health-sciences education and scholarship, located in beautiful Southern Arizona. We are currently seeking an Associate Dean of Research. This Faculty Scholar will support our research mission to increase extramural research funding and faculty scholarship.
The Associate Dean for Research will create a highly supportive environment for research productivity across faculty, pre- and post-doctoral scholars and manage the resources of the Office of Research and Scholarship (ORS). The incumbent will assist faculty and student colleagues with their research career scholarship, make outcomes visible, and collaborate with the administrative team, particularly Division Directors to manage and grow resources. The College of Nursing is generously supported by Designated Campus Colleagues (DCCs) who contribute their time, services, and expertise to help the College accomplish its mission. Current DCCs serve the college as clinical preceptors, guest lecturers, research collaborators, and vendor partners.
DCCs may be eligible for UA privileges by virtue of their relationship with the College. These include obtaining a CatCard, access to UA Libraries, a UA email address, Campus Recreation membership options, key/card access to UA buildings.
