Crisis during business hours: Are you a student or concerned about a student? You can call Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) at 520-621-3334 to consult with a counselor on duty or use our remote triage service.

Campus Support Resources
- Bias Education & Support Team (BEST): helps students who experience bias that makes them feel unsafe or unwelcome.
- Campus Accessibility: helps identify barriers to access and implements reasonable accommodations when necessary.
- Campus Health: quality medical and mental health services no matter where you are.
- Campus Pantry: helping to alleviate hunger in the UA Wildcat community by providing food assistance to those in need.
- Career Services: support services to plan internships, engage with potential employers, and apply for jobs.
- Childcare: Choice: awards $2,000 childcare subsidy per fiscal year to qualified students.
- Childcare: Sick & Back-up: supports students when there is an unexpected interruption in regularly scheduled childcare.

- Dean of Students: Helping students and their families manage crises, life traumas, and other barriers that impede success.
- Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I): works to increase diversity in the health sciences to promote health for all people.
- Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid (OFSA): Supports students with questions about financial aid & scholarships.
- Pronouns: Students can identify themselves using a preferred first name and designate their pronouns.
- Scholarship Universe: A comprehensive database of scholarships, including Nursing, available to students.
- Student Success & Retention Innovation (SSRI): offers a central place to answer student questions and provide support.
Student Health Insurance Resources
- Student Health Insurance Plan: the University offers nation-wide coverage health insurance options to UA Students*, Graduate Assistants/Associates, Post-Doctoral Fellows, J1 Visiting Scholars, and J1 Student Interns. Dependent coverage is not available. *Students in degree programs categorized as “Online” in UAccess are not eligible for health insurance through the U of Arizona.
- Arizona Health Insurance Assistance: The Arizona Center for Rural Health has Certified Health Insurance Navigators to help you enroll in health insurance coverage. Services are unbiased and free of charge. Assistance available in English and Spanish. While Navigators specialize in options specific to Arizona residents, they will assist out-of-state students navigating the Marketplace as much as possible.
- Cover Arizona: The Get Covered Connector – KidsCare is back, AHCCCS enrollment is always open, and you might qualify for discounts on the Marketplace. The assisters from Cover Arizona and the Get Covered Connector are here to help. Enter your zip code or schedule an appointment over the phone at 1-800-377-3536.
- The Marketplace: If you need health insurance, healthcare.gov can help you find a plan. You can enroll in or change plans if you have certain life events or income, or qualify for Medicaid or CHIP.
Student Affairs
- African American Student Affairs: facilitates a support system that helps students achieve academic excellence and an enriching African American cultural experience at UA.
- Asian Pacific American Student Affairs: promotes student’s success, offers a sense of community, provides advising and tutoring, student success programs, and events for Asian Pacific American students.
- Chicano/Hispanic Student Affairs: supports students to achieve academic and personal excellence by shaping a safe and inclusive campus environment through culturally affirming programs and events.
- International Student Services: is committed to students educational, personal and professional success – from application through graduation and beyond.
- LGBTQ Affairs: provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ students, training programs, events, and support.
- Native American Student Affairs: provides culturally sensitive academic counseling and support services to American Indian/Alaskan Native students enabling them to achieve academic excellence.

CON Student Organizations
The University of Arizona College of Nursing sponsors three student organizations for different populations of students. Students are strongly encouraged to participate and maintain involvement in one of the following student organizations to build leadership skills, network, serve their community and experience professional development activities.
Professional Achievements In Nursing (PAIN)
PAIN is the University of Arizona's pre-nursing club, and focuses on social welfare, health care, philanthropic activities and the education of students about professional opportunities in nursing and health care.
Students Nurses of the University of Arizona (SNUA)
SNUA is a student organization for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students dedicated to the professional development of future nurses through philanthropy, networking and service.
MEPN Student Organization (MSO)
MSO is a student organization for Master’s Entry to the Profession of Nursing (MEPN) students focused on philanthropy, skills enhancement, and professional and career development for future nurses. MSO has a chapter in Tucson and Phoenix.
