MarCom Work Request Form
Welcome to the Office of Marketing & Communications. We develop marketing strategies for the College of Nursing that support the dean’s annual strategic goals. As a small team, we prioritize requests that align with these goals. For additional support or specialized needs, BioCom offers a range of paid creative media services available to all Health Sciences units.
CON Work Requests
Please use the MarCom Request Form for CON story ideas and submissions, print materials, email campaigns, event support, photography, and website updates. Due to limited staffing, please allow at least 5 business days’ lead time. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
External Media Contacts
If you are contacted by a reporter, please notify Ann Hess as soon as possible and share any relevant details before the interview. The college values and encourages faculty engagement with the media, especially when interviews focus on your research, scholarship, or areas of expertise. Any media inquiries involving institutional priorities, policies, or broader issues affecting the college or university also require coordination with Mitch Zak in University Communications. Including him enables the university to provide context and support and to ensure alignment when topics extend beyond individual expertise. Please do not speak on behalf of the university unless you have coordinated with University Communications.
Photos & Video
When taking photographs or videos of individuals or their property (including artwork) for use on University of Arizona websites, brochures, posters, or other collateral materials, always obtain written consent (a signed Media Release form) from everyone who is recognizable.
Social Media
The College of Nursing uses social media as a dynamic platform to share our story, celebrate achievements, engage key audiences, and highlight the impact of nursing education, research, and practice. Our official social media channels reflect the college’s mission and values and help elevate the U of A brand. The CON Marketing Office supports faculty, staff, and units in using social media effectively and responsibly by providing guidance, training, and oversight.
