Dr. Tara Azad is a dedicated nursing educator with expertise in mental health nursing with an emphasis on substance use disorders. In her course, she incorporates mindfulness, self-awareness and reflection to promote a well-rounded clinical experience for students. Her long-term research goal is to establish a trauma-informed care approach for teaching and delivering care for those living with mental health and substance use disorders.
